**About This Position**:
Council has vacancies for team members to join our Parks and Reserves Unit. You will be working with the team maintaining parks, playgrounds, reserves and verges within Kingborough. Duties include pruning and removal of trees and shrubs, mowing, weed control, mulching, and general maintenance and landscaping works.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about horticulture and has experience in operating equipment such as ride-on mowers, chainsaws, chippers, mulchers, and brush cutters. A White Card and current driver’s licence are essential. A vocational qualification in horticulture or land management would be well regarded.

A salary in the range of $56,902 to $60,243 per annum, will be offered depending on skills and experience, plus 12.5% employer superannuation and a 9-day fortnight.

**Mandatory Requirements**:
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
**Essential**
- Relevant experience and ability to undertake labouring tasks associated with the parks and reserves function. Previous experience in the horticulture or land management industry would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in operating machinery such as as ride-on mowers, chainsaws, chippers, mulchers, and brush cutters.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work safely as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual work in an outdoor environment.

***Licences**
- White Card - General Induction for Construction.
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
- Traffic Control accreditation (Control Traffic and Implement Traffic Management Plan) or the ability to acquire this accreditation.
