My Gateway is partnering with Bayside Council to bring THREE traineeship positions for people who are looking to start their careers in childcare. These roles are to start in January 2024.

The successful applicants will be working with children aged between five weeks old to six years old. As part of the traineeship, you will complete a **Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care**.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Interact energetically with children under five years old.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Help children with hygiene duties including nappy changes, washing hands, etc.
- Prepare food and general cleaning duties.
- Arrange play based learning activities.
- Prepare lesson plans.
- Update parents about their children's progress.

The work hours are based on a rostering system. Roughly an 8.5 hour shift from 7:15am until 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
