ProNote Tutoring prides itself for being the best place for students to promote their education. We teach a range of students, from those who have just started school to those who have entered your final secondary years. As a tutor, you will be the person these students will turn to for guidance. It is therefore imperative that you have refined your knowledge and teaching skills.

**Key Requirements**:

- Must be able to commute to Point Cook
- Must have or be willing to have a working with children's check
- Must have or be willing to have a ABN
- We prefer first year and second year university students
- We prefer someone who can start soon

**Responsibilities**

You are the leader of the classroom. Tutors will be required to ensure the success of their student's academically, socially and emotionally. We believe that students learn best when an experienced tutor is able to customise their content and teaching styles to that individual student. Tutors will be required to collate activities and content that will best address their student's strengths and weakness. We have a ton of resources and are always here to help you.

Tutors are also required to have active communication on how the student in progressing. Some parents and students prefer informal weekly chats, while others prefer detailed written feedback. The tutor is expected to accomodate our students, and help them understand their educational outcomes.

**Qualifications**

Our tutors need to have graduated Secondary School. University students and graduates are welcome. However, **we are currently interested in first or second year university students. **We believe that the best teachers are those who have recently aced the current structure.

We have many different types of students. You will teach students who best fit your educational knowledge and interests.

Additionally, tutors will need to demonstrate their teaching abilities. This will be assessed through our interviews and trial sessions.

**Classrooms**

We believe that students learn best when their tutor's attention is focused on them. Classroom sizes will never exceed six students. Even then, this maximum is rarely reached, normally only capping to three students. Furthermore, students below their expected year level will be referred to private tutoring.

Our headquarters in Point Cook has everything you will need to be an effective tutor. However, some students will prefer to have the tutor at their place, or, you can opt to have the tutoring to be conducted at your own location. You as the tutor have the flexibility to let us know how you would like to conduct your sessions, and we will allocate you students in accordance to those preferences.

**Job Types**: Casual, Freelance, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2.5 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Point Cook, VIC 3030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (Year 9-11) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
