UGL now have a vacancy for a **_Draftsperson. _**Reporting to the Engineering Manager, and based in our facility at Bennetts Green, Newcastle, this role is responsible for the provision of drafting services to our Industrial and Resources Line of Business.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Originate and revise engineering documentation including drawings, materials, weld lists, dispatch lists and drafting standards
- Prepare drafting estimates
- Monitor hours spent on projects versus estimates
- Suggest any improvements to the current drafting and quality systems
- Ensure compliance to all UGL policies, procedures and guidelines
- Strictly adhere to both UGL and client’s safety and environmental systems and standards

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a trade or drafting related field
- A Mechanical Engineering Diploma would be desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of and exposure to Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pressure Piping, and Boiler Components would be advantageous
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work both independently and in a small team environment, prioritise demands, and learn quickly
- The desire and drive to see projects through to fruition
