Your role at St John of God

Working as an Instrument Technician you will ensure effective cleaning, decontamination, packing and sterilising of items for reprocessing, and will utilise equipment associated with the above appropriately in accordance with AS 4187.

The Position- Contributes to and is involved in Quality Activities with a focus on best practice.- Participates in determining and evaluating the quality of care being delivered to patients.- Co-operates in data collection of hospital-wide Quality Activity projects and Clinical Indicators.- Ensures that the need of the customer, both internal and external, receives the highest priority and that the objective is to exceed the customer’s expectations.- Maintain effective work practice in regard to manual and mechanical washing, lubrication, drying, packaging and sterilising.- Develop a sound working knowledge of all instrumentation requiring reprocessing.

Successful applicants will have effective documentation and interpersonal skills, and able to work efficiently as a team member.

Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Services and/or experience in CSSD sterilisation and instrument processing will be highly regarded.

We can offer you- Salary: $38.15 per hour (inclusive 25% casual loading) plus 11.5% Superannuation- Casual position- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
