**About the position**:
We recently obtained a contract with the Department of Education in Victoria and are offering vacancies in schools across Victoria. The job will likely start as part-time and move into full-time hours. We believe this is a fantastic opportunity to hone your IT skills and gain some experience in System Administration and Network Engineering.

The Victorian Department of Education utilises technician's across Victoria to provide help desk, end-user support to students and staff. as well as being responsible for system administration and network engineering, project management and everything in-between.

Schools list vacancies in hours per week. For example, a small school may be eligible for 4 hours per week of support, while a larger school may require 38 hours per week.

It is fantastic, dynamic and flexible work which is a lot more laid back than SLA-driven corporate environments.

**Personal Attributes**:

- Ability to troubleshoot systematically through the process of elimination
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong timekeeping and job prioritization skills are essential

**Successful applicants will be required to**:

- Obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) if not already held
- Hold a valid Victorian Driver’s License
- Have current Australian Residency, the right to work within Australia or be an Australian Citizen

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 8-40 per week

**Salary**: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour

- Information & Communication Technology Occupations: 2 years (required)
