**A little bit about us**

The
**Regional Development and Local Government Division **is responsible for the Australian Government’s regional development programs and policy. The division manages the Australian Government’s regional development grants programs including the Building Better Regions Fund, Regional Growth Fund and Stronger Communities Program.

Additionally, the division manages other programs, including the Financial Assistance Grant and Regional Development Australia programs. The division also provides policy advice on regional development and local government matters and manages the National Awards for Local Government.

The Enterprise Grants Management Office Section is responsible for delivering two significant and related functions: the Enterprise Grants Management Office; and Regional Initiatives Implementation Office. The
**Enterprise Grant Management**
**Office **collaborates across the department, supporting consistency and high-quality grant management advice.

This is a new function within the department and the team is actively consulting and developing our approaches to delivering on this new priority. The
**Regional Initiatives Implementation Office **works across the division, providing program management office functions aimed at supporting program governance, integrity and assurance for regional initiatives in a strategic and coordinated way.

**The opportunity we have available**

The Enterprise Grants Management Office is looking for enthusiastic and collaborative people with grants, stakeholder engagement, governance and/or program management experience to join our team. We are looking to develop a merit list of APS 6 officers for current and future roles in the following spaces:
**Centre of Excellence team**: This team establishes and advises on the design of best practice grants models, and develops supporting processes, tools and templates for program areas to use. They also coordinate the annual program of new grant programs across the department, including those announced at the Federal Budget.-
**Delivery support team**: This team provides proactive support to program areas in implementing best practice processes, tools and templates as well as providing advice on implementing the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines. They are also responsible for developing and implementing capability building and training material to support grant managers across the department.-
**Reporting team**: This team supports grants consistent data standards, management and reporting across the department. They develop a range of reporting tools and dashboards to demonstrate program performance and delivery.-
**Strategic engagement team**: This team leads the Grants Community of Practice for the department, as well as developing newsletters, intranet content and other communication materials to assist grant managers access the Office’s services. They also provide support to the rest of the section in ensuring best practice records keeping, and other administrative tasks.**What will you do?**
