Happy Hounds is looking to add to their team of dog walkers and pet sitters. We are on the hunt for a go-getter who is able to perform animal care related tasks. Don’t let the job title fool you, this is not always an easy job, and doesn’t always mean you get to play with puppies all day (though it can be incredibly rewarding most of the time). This is a **sub-contractor position (super included).**

Your Role:

- Dog Walking - usually at times specified by the client (weekdays and weekends) 30 min - 60 min
- Pet Sitting - daily visits to the client’s home, at times specified by the owner (weekdays and weekends) 30 min - 60 min
- House Sitting - overnight stays in the client’s homes (weekday and weekend nights). This is a **must** and something that you are comfortable doing for multiple nights if needed.

Qualities we are looking for:

- Animal lover above all else
- Incredibly good communication skills with the Happy Hounds team and clients
- Reliable and trustworthy - clients expect you to care for their pets, and stick to the times and days that have been agreed upon. That means no last minute cancellations
- Ability to work independently and use your initiative and decision-making skills
- Awesome customer service skills - friendly and approachable with all Happy Hounds clients.

Job Requirements:

- ABN
- Police check and commit to your own tax obligations
- Public Liability Insurance (we can suggest some providers)
- Drivers licence and access to own vehicle
- Mobile phone and internet
- Previous experience with animals and some knowledge on animal behaviour/handling
- Pet first aid certification (this can be completed in your first week with Happy Hounds, should you be successful)
- Can work relatively flexible hours throughout the week and weekend, and can cater to last minute jobs. Also ability to work on public holidays.

You must have previous experience working with animals, your own vehicle and fairly flexible schedule.

Preference to those available public holidays.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year
