**What you'll be doing**
ISLHD recognises that its data is one of its most valuable assets. The need for high quality data is increasingly important, as clinicians and managers use this data to make critical decisions which impact the quality of care.
The ISLHD Performance Unit provides a data custodian function to the district across Sub Acute, Emergency, Surgical, Waitlist, Non-admitted Patient, Palliative and End of Life Care services as well as clinical documentation.
The Manager Performance is responsible for promoting data quality across the district, as well as developing a Data Quality Program for ISLHD, which will take a strategic approach to building the quality of a wide range of data sets, from the point of collection at the clinical interface to readiness for use in advanced analytics. The position will also have leadership over ISLHD’s Data Governance Framework, with a key focus on streamlining data governance processes and building literacy across the organisation in this area.
The Performance Unit sits within the Planning, Information and Performance directorate which is the strategic lever in strengthening and accelerating the analytics maturity in ISLHD.
This position requires the ability to lead, and mentor a team of data professionals in achieving improved data quality and governance for the district.
**Where you'll be working**
- The Performance Unit are based in Warrawong, and will involve some site visits and meetings throughout the district.
- The Planning, Information and Performance Unit enjoy flexible working practices, with a expectation to work from the office on team days, for specific meetings, and when working face to face will provide the best outcome for the district.
**This is a temporary full time leave relief position until 28 April 2024 with the possibility of extension.**
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.
