We are looking for people with initiative, a strong work ethic and a desire to teach children in an individualised manner. You must be completing (or have completed) a university degree or have prior tutoring experience.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Create a professional, welcoming and respectful environment
- Plan individualised lessons to engage and educate
- Develop learning goals with students and reflect on progress
- Help students become more confident, successful, self-directed learners
- Communicate and provide feedback to children and parents through discussions and individual student plans
- Assist with any problems or difficulties in homework tasks
- Employ creative teaching strategies, techniques and activities as appropriate
- Follow office and tutor procedures

**To be successful, you need to be**:

- An active listener, allowing students to determine content and pace
- Aware of different learning styles and student preferences, adjusting your methods accordingly
- Patient, kind and adaptable to the age and skill level of each student
- Punctual, organised and able to plan out lessons
- Friendly, have a ‘can do’ attitude and a strong communicator
- Reflective and utilise feedback to improve practice

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
