**Your new role**
Carry out a broad range of day-to-day maintenance tasks, under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager. This includes preventative and routine maintenance of all machinery, motor vehicles, plant, equipment, building and residences, for the Grove and Processing Plant.
- Maintain plant and equipment in a way that will minimise time lost due to breakdown
- In consultation with management, coordinate the installation and commissioning of all new plant and equipment
- Assist with the planned maintenance program for the Boort site, in consultation with the Maintenance Manager. This will include the servicing and repairs of various plant and equipment
- Maintain the workshop area, making sure that it is clean and tidy at all times
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the stock-take and ordering of fuels, lubricants and parts as required
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of all machinery service history
- Be mindful of all OH&S compliance issues. Ensure the requirements of the Boundary Bend Safety Program are achieved in areas including 'Contractors & Visitors on Site' and 'Maintenance of Plant & Machinery'
- Cooperate with all quality issues regarding the use of machinery (in line with HACCP principles)
- Assist in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure the safe and effective use of all machinery within the division
- Maintain housekeeping responsibilities in the maintenance area
- Ensure material safety data sheets are obtained for all substances brought onto site for maintenance issues
- In consultation with the Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager, ensure a safe standard of plant and equipment on site.
- Consult and consider all OH&S issues in the upgrade and commissioning of all new plant and equipment
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Qualification in the relevant trade;
- Live locally and willing to travel to and from sites
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail with solid organisational skills and capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Advanced written and verbal communications skills
- Sound computer skills in MS Office (Outlook & Word)
- A current Driver's Licence
- Due to the nature of the work, flexible hours are also essential.
- A willingness to keep skills updated.
