To learn and conduct industry’s best practice repair and overhaul practices on DOWTY propeller systems to support GE Aviation’s customers. This will be accomplished by personally conducting maintenance tasks whilst undergoing on and off the job apprenticeship training to attain Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop).

**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Learn to perform inspections, repairs and overhaul of DOWTY propeller systems.
- Develop a knowledge of technical instructions and assistance to be provided to customers within the parameters of formal technical documents.
- Undertake ‘On the Job Training’ to learn about technical publications and propeller repairs.
- Develop knowledge of applicable product line and aftermarket contractual obligations.
- Learn how to perform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, supporting quotations and capturing sales and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Maintain strong environmental, health and safety requirements aligned to GE requirements
- Utilize provided tools to track and maintain customer queries to closure.
- Undertake training as required to complete competencies required for Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop)
- Develop and maintain knowledge of, and adhere to, the Site Quality, Safety Management and EH&S policies and other compliance requirements. Bring forward for resolution any identified risks utilising provided systems.
- Assist and work with team members to ensure the efficient flow of work through the workshop.
- Actively participate as a member of the workshop team including contributing to discussions about matters of importance to the team and making suggestions to improve team performance.
- Other duties as required.
- This role is part of the DOWTY Team which is comprised of 7-9 Technicians and a team supervisor.
**Requirements**:
- Experience working in the Aviation industry will be well regarded.
- Experience working in other maintenance industries is welcome.
