**About the Centre/Service**

Our service is located next door to GESAC (Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre). We are a community based Kindergarten operating in Bentleigh East for over 30 years. Children who attend a Glen Education kindergarten are engaged in a play-based curriculum which evolves from the children’s interests. Both indoor and outdoor activities and experiences are carefully planned to enable each child to work towards their next step in learning.

**Description**
- Glen Education are currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator (Cert III) to join our Bentleigh East Kindergarten team.

- **About the position** Glen Education are seeking an enthusiastic and confident educator for a Certificate III position at Bentleigh East Kindergarten. This is an Additional Educator position put in place to provide support in the middle of the day when the kindergarten is most busy. The successful applicant will be working across the entire week in an experienced and passionate team with 3-5 year olds. The number of hours for this position total 20 hours per week.

- An Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent, as approved by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Must hold a valid and current Working with Children Clearance or VIT registration (provisional or full registration)
- Must hold a current (not older than 6 months) National Police Check
- Must hold a valid and current First Aid (Education and Care Setting), CPR and Child Protection certificates
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including booster dose), or have an approved medical exemption
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practice that is reflective of the approved National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
- Working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver high quality education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
