**Your new role awaits**:
The Shutdown Manager is responsible for the operational execution of shutdowns for the West Business Unit. A key focus of the role is to establish professional and reliable teams to deliver relentless customer service across a scheduled project calendar, as well as partnering with the Sales team to deliver successful shutdowns on time and within budget. This role requires frequent travel.

**A typical day will include**:

- Lead our uncompromising Safety-First culture throughout the organisation and customer relationships.
- Drive a proactive approach to growing share of wallet by regularly meeting with relevant Sales team members; deeply seek to understand the client’s plans and needs.
- Work with the Business Development Manager and key sales staff to effectively price shutdown work.
- Drive the strategic plans relating to leading, planning and managing the major shutdowns and project teams.
- Ensure effective financial and cost management of shutdowns are achieved by meeting agreed budget, revenue, KPI’s and profitability targets
- Management and development of overall shutdown delivery and support infrastructure and resources
- Establish and mobilise a strong and reliable shutdown team/s, ensure relentless customer focus and service, understand system and site safety requirements and any additional services and resources needed to fulfil the shutdown / scope of work and project manage the job.
- Train, develop & monitor performance of shutdown team/s and manage their development to maximise employee engagement, productivity, and business results.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated safety improvement results
- Experience managing a large, operationally diverse workforce in the construction, warehousing or mining industries
- Proven maintenance management experience (ideally in mining, petro chemical, or manufacturing)
- Proven competency in project management delivery
- Demonstrated ability to foster strong professional relationships
- The ability to drive operational and process improvements
- Mechanical trade background and current forklift ticket (advantageous)
