**The role is full time permanent with a rotational shift across 6 days including Saturday**

**The Role**:
**An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Technician / Quality Auditor to be responsible for conducting the QA Verification Checks to compliment the HACCP program. The primary function of this role is communicating quality, food safety and GMP related issues to the relevant areas and do follow-ups on the timely resolutions of non-conformances as well as being Responsible for monitoring all activities which relate to identified Critical Control Points (CCP) and Quality Control Point (QCP).**

**Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Implements, maintains, and improves the effectiveness of the food safety & quality system.
- Understand the standards and HACCP principles and able to translate this knowledge into developing pre-requisite programs and to understand and assist in implementing corrective actions to be taken.
- Verification of Process Control and Pre-Operative check activities.
- Conducting QA Verification checks in accordance with standard checklist to monitor quality and food safety.
- Inspection of raw materials, finished products and packaging for compliance to set specifications and making informed decisions on material disposition based on information gathered
- Contributes to the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
- Train operators and production staff to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards and GMP standards.
- Good Understanding and handling of export food labelling requirements.

Full time $70,000 - $79,999 6 days per week including Saturday
- Tertiary Qualification in Food/ Dairy Science or Quality Assurance.
- Technical experience from a dairy industry in the quality role for at least 2 years.
- Knowledge in development and implementation of HACCP and Food Safety.
- Ability to understand and practice the accreditation process of external authorities and work with Food Safety Management systems (BRC, AQIS, DFSV)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline driven organization.
