**About the role**:
Laboratory Technician to join our team. You will provide Science teaching staff with a high level of assistance and support for classroom activities.
**Duties include**:
- working unsupervised in a school science lab
- coordinating the use of scientific equipment and chemicals
- providing some in-class support to teaching staff during practical activities
**About You**:
- through your well-developed laboratory skills, you will plan and select appropriate equipment, techniques and organise work for students
- you will have previous laboratory experience, ideally in a school environment along with great communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and students
- Qualifications in Laboratory techniques, technology or services, or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience (highly regarded)
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
