**The role: Mechanical Drafter**

**Position Available**:
In line with thier continuous expansion, our client is presently seeking a skilled Draftsman/3D Mechanical Designer to join their dynamic team. This role presents a permanent full-time opportunity and is located at our state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility in Central Coast - Newcastle.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a part of the team, your responsibilities will encompass, but won't be restricted to:

- Collaborating with mechanical engineers and engineering technologists in the creation and detailing of mechanical equipment models.
- Producing comprehensive assembly drawings and designs for mechanical engineering projects, guided by senior engineers.
- Ensuring adherence to standards such as AS1100 and other relevant norms in the preparation of drawings.
- Crafting Technical Drawings across various levels including Layouts, Arrangements, Assemblies, and intricate specifics.
- Developing an understanding of the operation of industry-specific equipment.

To be the right fit for this role, the following attributes are essential:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Prior engagement in the industrial/mining sector.
- Academic qualifications in a relevant field.
- Previous involvement in 3D Mechanical Design.
- Proficiency demonstrated in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor software.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication aptitude.
- Competence in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.
