The Data Analyst is critical to making this happen and will—

Work across business and technology stakeholders to analyse and collate information, understand the organisational context and complete analysis activities, to ultimately elicit, document and manage requirements and data standards
As a Data Analyst, you will design solutions to address a more positive user experience in the metadata / reference data delivery
Document and review business glossary terms and business rules across the organisation to ensure their compliance with the standards and the conceptual data model
Assist with the design and implementation of metadata related initiatives and tools (business glossary, data catalogue, data lineage, classification)
Assist with data modelling analysis and development
Formalise, publish and maintain Metadata sets and standards documentation for project or program end to end, as well as business as usual operations
Analyse, create and maintain Enterprise Reference Data lists (aligned to the standards)
Measure adherence to the standards and to the metadata / reference data requirements
Perform other activities in an Agile framework such as testing, process mapping and production change transition
Leverage your strong communication skills to socialise the data standards and requirements to key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the metadata / reference data principles, governance and benefits
Assist in end-user training in metadata / reference data tools

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong data experience, including a solid understanding of what constitutes good data governance for Metadata / Reference Data principles and standards
Detailed knowledge of business and data analysis tasks, experience in elicitation techniques and competent in requirements gathering
Proven track record in data related business analysis, capturing business terminology and rules
Ability to design metadata / reference data solutions to provide a strong user experience
Strong understanding of business glossary, metadata, data lineage, classification, data modelling, reference data is essential
Solid understanding of project lifecycles, disciplines and procedures, with demonstrated knowledge and experience in working on mid to large sized projects
Experience in Agile Methodology, with the ability to contribute to the squad via a range of skill sets (i.e. delivery/outcome focus, analysis, testing, stakeholder management etc.)
An appreciation for difficult problems with the ability to work autonomously on tasks with a medium/high level complexity, and collaboratively as part of a team to clearly represent consolidated findings
Ability to influence and negotiate, while promoting the data standards, tools and processes
