Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intermediate Arborist to join our team of professionals. As an Intermediate Arborist, you will play a key role in executing various tree care operations, including pruning, removals, and maintenance tasks. You will work under the guidance of senior arborists, contributing your expertise to ensure the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our clients' trees and landscapes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform tree pruning, shaping, and removals according to industry standards and best practices.
- Operate and maintain a variety of arboricultural equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Participate in tree planting and establishment projects, including site preparation and species selection.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns with professionalism and expertise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team and on job sites.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including job details, time sheets, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Support the training and development of junior team members, sharing knowledge and skills to promote growth within the organization.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in arboriculture or related field.
- Certification or equivalent qualification in arboriculture (e.g., Certificate III in Arboriculture).
- Proficiency in tree climbing and aerial rescue techniques, with experience using ropes and harnesses.
- ESI qualification or progress toward obtaining.
- Sound knowledge of tree biology, pruning principles, and tree risk assessment methods.
- Familiarity with a range of arboricultural equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and rigging gear.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
