**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

**About the Role**

This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.

To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.

You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

Narellan Vale Public School is located in South Western Sydney which is within the Macarthur Network of Schools and was opened in 1997. There are currently 670 students enrolled. The school's motto of 'Together We Learn and Grow' is central to all endeavours. There is a core focus to build strong foundations of learning and a school wide culture of high expectations. There is a strong culture of collaboration and a dedicated team of educators who are committed to excellence and maximising student growth and attainment.

The school is situated on a large block and has many mature trees and gardens. The school has developed outdoor learning spaces and interactive gardens to ensure an inclusive outdoor space for all. Narellan Vale PS has a support unit of three Autism classes and has formed partnerships with local external services to provide programs and initiatives on site.

Strong links have been forged with the local preschools and the local feeder high school. The school is supported by a hardworking Parents and Citizens Association and has strong partnerships with parents and carers.
