Sedgman is currently recruiting for a People & Capability Advisor to partner with and support business leaders in our Australia West region. This role will be a 6-month contract.

**What does this role involve?**

As a senior member of the leadership team in the region, you will have responsibility for both strategic and operational people, culture and change activities. You will provide quality advice, coaching and mentoring to leaders to achieve the best outcome for their teams and the business.

We have experienced significant growth in this business group over the past 18 months, including the acquisition of (what is now known as) Sedgman Onyx. As a result, your role will have a heavier focus on strategic projects than just your typical HR Business Partner role.

Reporting to the Group Manager People & Capability, some key responsibilities will include:

- As a trusted business partner, advise, coach and support leaders across all areas of HR, including ER, performance management, organisational culture, remuneration and benefits
- Support Australia West growth initiatives, working collaboratively with the broader People & Capability team to achieve business goals
- Lead the ongoing People & Capability integration activities for Sedgman Onyx
- Regularly consult with business stakeholders to identify short
- and long-term HR support needs and targeted initiatives, leading execution work
- Advise managers and employees on issues related to domestic and international secondments and relocations, flexible work arrangements, higher duty assignments etc
- Guide, coach and mentor People & Capability Advisors that support the Western region
- As either a lead or a project team member, develop and execute HR projects for business-wide initiatives
- Preparing job offers and processing employment contracts

**What are we looking for?**
- An experienced HR Business Partner with a breadth of generalist experience including both strategic and operational HR, ideally gained in engineering or construction
- Recruitment experience preferred
- Success working collaboratively with senior leadership to support strategic business goals
- A pragmatic professional that connects easily with people and can build and maintain long-term relationships across all levels of an organisation
- An inquisitive approach, seeking to understand key stakeholders within and across geographically dispersed teams, influencing where needed
- Exposure to acquisition integration, business growth activities and/or change management projects would be a plusIdeally a Bachelor level degree or above in relevant discipline
