**About the role**:
The Intelligence Collection and Liaison Unit (ICLU) within the State Intelligence Division is directly involved in receiving information and intelligence products from external agencies and preparing relevant intelligence products for dissemination within Victoria Police and to relevant external agencies, across all crime themes in alignment with legislation, policy and endorsed agreements.

ICLU also provide probity checks for entities involved in Medicinal Cannabis, Alkaloid Poppy and Low THC industries.

**Your duties will include**:

- The Interrogation of a range of systems to collect and analyse information;
- Capturing and sharing information / intelligence relating to all operational policing themes;
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information gathering and exchange;
- Prepare high quality intelligence products to inform stakeholders of identified crime trends or community risks and influence decision making processes;
- Maintain and develop a strong knowledge base for gathering information to drive the intelligence process.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Experience in research and analysis and preferably knowledge of, or experience in, intelligence analysis, strategic planning, criminology or other relevant academic disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to plan, organise work and produce high quality results.
- Ability to work in a sensitive and confidential environment including the ability to deal with information of a disturbing nature.
- Ability to be innovative in the collection and analysis of information to effectively identify opportunities to assist in problem solving.
- Experience in working alone and unsupervised to a high standard as well as experience in within a small dynamic team environment.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- Successfully complete the modules of a Victoria Police approved Intelligence Program relevant to the role as determined by the Command and qualify within 18 months from enrolment.
