Our company is an NDIS provider. We are specialised in providing support to people with disability who are participants of the NDIS. We work mainly on promoting their independence, inclusion, social and economic involvement. We are one team work and each one of us has their own role to play. We communicate and connect with each other to make sure no one feels being out at work doing it the hard way.

Languages and Dialects required:

- English (Essential)
- Arabic (Essential)
- Assyrian or Chaldean (Preferable but not essential)

Interpreting tasks include but not limited to:

- Interpreting oral conversations between participants, staff and external parties.
- Explaining participant complaints and concerns of family members to the staff and external parties.
- Enabling comprehension by using paraphrasing and simplifying tools.
- Interpreting concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language
- Compiling information and technical terms into glossaries and terminology databases
- Maintaining the style and tone of the original language
- Interpreting spoken messages accurately, quickly, and clearly
- Proofreading, editing, and revising translated materials.
- Following ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information.
- Identifying and sorting out conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviours.

**Qualifications**:

- Qualification in interpretation and translation
- Registration with National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI)
- Current National Police Check
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid certificate and CPR
- NDIS Workers Orientation
- 100 Points of ID
- Current Australian Driving License
- Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate (minimum three doses)

**Experience**:

- Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years
- Passionate about working with people living with disability in the NDIS environment
- Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering improved health outcomes to our patients
- Good people skills are a must as this job is all about working very closely with participants
- Experience delivering services to children, young people, and adults with disability.
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to multi task
- Ability to work in team and maintain a good relationship
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Compassion with a friendly attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
