**Your role**

These roles may require travel across the Sydney Metropolitan area.

**What you’ll do**

As part of our professional services Category Management Team within Finance and Procurement Services, you will be responsible but not limited to:

- Manage and deliver procurement projects on time and on target as required for the Department to maintain and extend its procurement accreditation.
- Provide sound advice and support to the Procurement team and Business Owners across the Department on individual procurement projects, category management, supplier relationship management, policy & governance, systems and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for managing a number of competing priorities, while working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. The role will require you to work with a number of systems, including our procurement and contract management system and contingent workforce platform.

**What we’re looking for**

The Department of Communities and Justice is looking for enthusiastic, motivated and customer focussed professional to be part of our Procurement team.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

- Project and stakeholder management
- Previous experience with source to contract system is high desirable
- Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and be creative in solving complex problems including managing conflicting priorities and resourcing
- Strong written, numerical and verbal skills to communicate with vendors, senior management and other internal customers and stakeholders
- Work effectively within a team environment with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of your role
- Relevant work experience in Procurement or a related area to Procurement such as project management, HR, finance, legal/risk, Policy etc.
