**About the role**
You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you drive community and family engagement, with children at the heart of your service philosophy.

As the Room Leader role will involve:

- Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
- Assisting with the mentoring of permanent and casual employees
- Following an approved curriculum, where you will be a role modeling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
- Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
- Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
- Ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in care

This is a full time opportunity at Derrimut Early Learning Centre.

The hourly rate is $30.05.

**Qualifications required**
- Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood / Children’s Services or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
- Working with Children Card

**About the Centre**
At our YMCA Derrimut Early Learning Centre, we nurture and encourage your child’s development through early education and evidence-informed practice that emphasises discovery and adventure. We provide a weekly music and dance incursion so that children can express themselves, improve their physical wellbeing, and have fun We offer weekly excursions to the local park too, so there's always something new for your child to discover and explore. Our centre even boasts a fantastic secret garden where children take turns each week to water plants and enjoy picnics. This teaches them new skills and allows them to socialise with other children. We are open Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6:30pm.
