**The Role**
You’ll be responsible for supporting Orange Sky (OS) in your functional role and delivering on projects and embedding a continuous improvement and sustainability methodology with a focus on delivering service continuity to regions across Australia.
Specifically, in your Asset Operations Coordinator functional capacity, you are expected to work with the operational department, other OS departments and external contractors to minimise shift & service downtime through, for example, coordination of all OS service asset logistics, minimising asset downtime/increasing utilisation, and delivery of asset maintenance programs. Additionally, you will optimise and increase social impact through effective and scalable documentation and record keeping. The role will include a mix of core operational and technical tasks as well as supporting and leading short projects which cascade down from the Operations Teams overarching objectives.
In a nutshell, this role is responsible for:
- Streamlining and managing the fleet procedures, processes and documentation
- Identifying gaps or opportunities in incident management to minimise downtime
- Managing of documentation and processes in relation to safety and compliance
- Develop, plan and lead the delivery of new and existing operational projects
- Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and key milestones, documentation is maintained appropriately for each project and project evaluation is recorded for continuous improvement
- Develop and implement a sustainable and scalable preventative maintenance program for all assets, including vehicles and equipment
- Address proactive & reactive asset maintenance needs across Australia & Aotearoa with physical attendance in service locations as required to perform general maintenance tasks
- Identify, co-develop and deliver asset and service delivery specific training, resources and tools for staff and vehicle leaders
- Empower the volunteer leadership team to develop a strong knowledge and best practice of OS assets through leading the Vehicle Leader Community of Practice
- Ensure effective and efficient maintenance plans and schedules are developed and implemented, prioritising risk, reliability and cost effectiveness or performing as needed
- Overseeing and maintaining an audit process for assets across all works to ensure they achieve business objectives, safety standards and regulatory compliance Lead the organisation in asset management and maintenance culture, embracing innovative approaches

Additionally, the ideal applicant has:
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects and an understanding of project management methodology
- Demonstrated competence to develop and implement procedures and operational documentation to a high standard and consumable across a diverse demographic
- Proven experience and/or a sound knowledge of mechanical or electrical assets would be highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in compliance and legislative requirements would be highly desirable
- A demonstrated aptitude for IT systems and database development and maintenance.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise in a flexible and adaptable way, including being positively responsive to change management.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders in a virtual working environment.
- Relevant tertiary and/or trade qualifications
- A high-level technical understanding of assets (e.g. vehicles) and a willingness to learn about all OS asset types and problem-solving ability
- Willingness and capability to travel and deliver hands-on technical support and perform general maintenance tasks
