**About the role**
- We are seeking an experienced
**Instrumental Brass Tutor **and
** Band Conductor** to teach students from P-12 across the College and the adjacent Marymount Primary school.
- The role involves interacting with students, staff, and parents in a professional capacity as well as contributing to effective processes and practice in keeping with the values and ethos of the College.
Marymount College will support the growth of the Brass and band program by means of paid rehearsals and performances, and by working with the Brass teacher to explore ways in which to build the numbers of these students and band members across the College and Primary school.
- The successful applicant will be expected to embody a teaching methodology in alignment with the College’s pedagogical framework and approach to holistic learning.
An approach to differentiated learning allowing students to achieve their individual goals in Music education, is strongly desired.
- To be successful, you will bring to the role:_
- The ability to teach students that possess a wide range of ages and skill levels, including beginners.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
- A willingness to work with the Instrumental Music Program Leader in assisting to build the department and contribute to co-curricular events.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

**Estimated start date**:Commencing March 2023

**Position tenure**:Ongoing casual as an external Tutor

**Weeks worked**:School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

**Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required**:1 day per week

**Salary level, range or hourly rate**:2023 MTAQ recommended rate of tuition - $80 per hour
