**The Role**:
As the leading public health service in the Northern Region, we are recruiting a Paediatric Registrar for the the second half of the 2024 medical year.

This role requires Provision of appropriate care to Paediatric and Neonatal inpatients, outpatients, and the Paediatric Emergency Department at Northern health. Ensure supervision for the junior medical officers and provide support for the senior medical staff in the care of the department‘s patients.

The applicant should be suitably qualified to perform at the level of a Registrar. The applicant should have at least 18 months of Paediatric experience, which should include a minimum of 6 months neonatal intensive care experience in a tertiary centre.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria.
- The Staff Immunisation Questionnaire must be completed by all new employees as part of the mandatory on-boarding process. New employees are not permitted to undertake any activity that requires patient contact prior to clearance by the Staff Immunisation Nurses; this also includes evidence of having the Flu vaccination on a yearly basis. New employees with contra-indications to vaccinations or who decline vaccination are required to attend a face to face consultation with the Immunisation Nurses for appropriate documentation of their contraindications or declination. This must be completed PRIOR to commencing any work with Northern Health.
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
- Must have satisfactorily completed intern year in Australia
- Must be holder of a relevant employment visa if not an Australian resident.
- At least 18 months of Paediatric experience, which should include a minimum of 6 months neonatal intensive care experience in a tertiary centre
