**About your new role**
- Asset Manager_ overseeing the University of Sydney portfolio. The University of Sydney portfolio consists of three buildings, Queen Mary, Abercrombie and Regiment.

This role is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of asset management strategies supported by high-quality policies, systems and practices to achieve optimal return on investment and to provide strategic advice for the key Stakeholders of the portfolio. Other duties and responsibilities include:

- Lead, develop and mentor a team of Maintenance employees
- Establish and manage a Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Develop and implement a Performance Standard for reactive repairs and maintenance
- Consult with Stakeholders regarding facilities management requirements
- Develop, review and update Asset Management and Life Cycle Plans
- Maintain a fixed Asset Register
- Oversee and audit all repairs, planned maintenance and required services for each Facility
- Undertake a site safety, risk assessment and compliance review for each Facility
- Manage all procurement contracts
- Develop, convene and chair regular meetings of the portfolio’s Safety Committee
- Manage incidents, emergencies and other crises as appropriate
- Be on call outside of office hours for emergencies and critical incidents

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Previous senior Asset Management and Leadership experience in the accommodation industry would be advantageous
- Strong property management background
- Knowledge of the university environment and ideally previous tertiary studies that have provided the experience to fully understand the complexities of University life
- Previous experience with StarRez Property Management System would be advantageous
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to problem-solve and manage conflict
- A focus on service and quality with the passion to deliver outstanding experiences

Our mandatory requirements include:

- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
- Working with Children’s Checks
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia and New Zealand
