**About the role**

This position’s focus is to develop, document and empower the utilization of the MercyCare Heritage Collection through facilitating access to records and materials. Along with identifying, assessing and interpreting items across places, buildings, objects, documents and audio-visual materials the role will actively work to support the conservation of our shared collection.

**About you**

You’ll have a love of history and understand the power of preserving our organisations journey to drive the future. With an eye for detail, drive to educate and share information in a culturally aware and sensitive way, you’ll have a deep respect for others and work in a manner that honours the memory those who have helped create todays’ Mercy Care. Your key experience will include:

- Bachelors degree in History, Museum Studies or a related field of study
- Experience in developing, preparing and delivering interpretation in a range of formats for different audiences
- Demonstrated understanding and passion for the history and heritage sector
- Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Excellent research, analysis and reporting writing skills
- Strong communication skills across a range of cohort to inspire, drive education and understanding
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
