As a Policy Futures graduate, you'll feel the connection your work has to our purpose - to improve the lives of Queenslanders through the development and implementation of innovative and effective government policy.
Throughout the two-year program, you'll rotate across Queensland Government, gaining exposure to diverse and complex policy environments where you will be free to explore your interests and learn from experts in the field.
You'll receive comprehensive learning and development opportunities, equipping you with the skills to fast track your career. You'll also receive a professional mentor, peer support, e-learning, and a range of networking opportunities.

Our recruitment process
Our recruitment process encompasses a range of activities designed to obtain a holistic understanding of who you are. You will be invited to share your story, meet with Policy Futures team and participate in an assessment centre.
Are you eligible?
The Policy Futures Graduate Program First Nations Pathway is open to graduates from all degrees and disciplines who meet the following eligibility requirements:

- identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- completion of a bachelor's degree (equivalent of a level seven qualification) or higher between 31 October 2022 and 31 January 2025 (no minimum GPA required)
- be an Australian citizen, or a resident of Australia and have unrestricted working rights under Australian Commonwealth law.
- be willing to relocate to Brisbane for the 2-year program
