**The Opportunity**

TAFE NSW is looking for qualified, experienced individuals who wish to be considered for a Casual Teaching opportunity in Bakery & Patisserie currently located at Hamilton Campus in Newcastle.

**About you**

You will love this position if you like to share your passion in the Baking & Patisserie industry and have a minimum of three (3) years industry experience within the last five (5 years). You are ready to educate a team of passionate students from a range of backgrounds to achieve their personal and work goals whilst developing and implementing an educational and career plan. You will have high level written and oral communication skills in English and Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments.

The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

**Additional Requirements**
- Certificate III in Baking or Certificate III in Patisserie or Certificate III in Cake and Pastry or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
- Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as maintain their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
- Comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and diversity within the Patisserie and Bakery sector.
