Dental Assistant

We are looking for an engaging, responsible, and reliable **dental assistant (with occasional reception duties)** to join our friendly, fun-loving and close-knit team for the long run.

Our specialist endodontic clinic is located in Wynnum (Queensland) and we operate on an appointment-only basis. We pride ourselves in providing our patients accurate information, quality treatments, and very high standards of customer service.

- Previous dental assisting or dental receptionist experience (of at least 12 months) _**preferred**_ but not essential
- Dental assisting or dental reception duties with endodontic experience _**preferred**_ but not essential
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting _**preferred**_ but not essential
- Willing to learn and be proactive in assisting our specialists and team members
- Excellent customer service skills
- High attention to details
- Strong work ethics with a demonstrated initiative and self-motivation
- Demonstrate patience and respect towards all patients and team members
- Demonstrate good organisational skills and time management skills
- Honest, punctual and reliable and able to show up to work on time
- Able to stay back on occasional days for extra hours if we have emergency patients (_overtime rates will be paid accordingly_)
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn how to use computer software
- Driver’s license and own car preferred

**Main scope of duties**:

- Chair side assisting
- Sterilisation of equipment (with **extremely** high standards of infection control)
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Cleaning the surgery (**no **toilet cleaning duties)
- Management of stock and supplies and mínimal ad-hoc duties
- Answering phone calls professionally and providing correct, courteous, and prompt responses to all enquiries
- Welcoming patients into the clinic and ensuring that all patient details are up to date
