Learning Leader

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor student achievement and progress in VET studies, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting in line with VCAA requirements.
- Coordinate the external VET program, including liaising with external providers, managing student enrollment, and monitoring attendance and progress.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator: Careers Discovery and Programs to oversee the Work Placement components of VET, including workplace visits.
- Support staff in developing effective teaching strategies for students of mixed abilities.
- Provide feedback and guidance to teachers within the Learning Area, fostering their ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to the review and development of curriculum offerings in VET, ensuring alignment with student needs and industry requirements.
- Promote the Learning Area within the college and the community through various means, such as displays of student work and presentations.

- Successful teaching experience and a demonstrated capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively within a team.
- Effective planning and resource management skills to support the education programs of the school.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

- Position: Learning Leader - VET
- Classification: POL 1.5
- Remuneration: As per CEMEA22
- Time Allowance: 6 x 50 minute lessons per cycle
- Tenure: 2024-2026
