Our Federal Government client is seeking
**Geospatial Analyst** to perform and achieve moderately complex maritime geospatial chart quality assurance.

**About the role**:

- Perform straightforward maritime geospatial chart quality assurance and production tasks under general direction from supervisor, making decisions within defined parameters
- Contribute new ideas and identify opportunities to improve the work of the team
- Monitor task progress against performance expectation to ensure deadlines are met
- Use experience in Geographic Information Systems to maintain and enhance geospatial databases
- Listen to stakeholders and understand the relationships between business priorities and tasks

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Sound knowledge of the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) Charting specifications
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Charting specifications
- Sound knowledge and experience compiling and QA nautical charts (paper and digital)
- Sound knowledge and experience validating Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC)
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to contribute to a continuous improvement process
