**About the business**

**About the Role**
- **Background**:_ Tertiary level qualifications in BSc/B Eng in Environmental, Geology, Earth Science or Hydrogeology from a recognised Australian institution.
- **Experience**:_Grads and 2+ years relevant contaminated land degree/experience in all or a selection of environmental site assessments, groundwater investigations and monitoring, waste characterisation, remedial action and environmental management planning, acid sulphate soil investigations pertaining to environmental auditing, divestment/acquisition, due diligence assessments, environmental legislative compliance and environmental management systems. Also, a working understanding of contaminated land & OHS guidelines and experience in Australia.
- **Your duties would be as follows**:_
- Site inspections to identify visible signs of contamination and potentially contaminating activities.
- Field sampling i.e. soil sampling hand augering and drilling assessment works as part of site divestment, regulatory requirements and due diligence, hand bailing and low flow groundwater sampling techniques from groundwater bores, landfill gas and soil vapour assessment as part of site field works for projects under environmental audit.
- Drawing of AutoCAD site plans and cross-sections, Surfer groundwater flow direction plans and ProcUCL software for laboratory result statistical analysis appraisals.
- Preparing borehole and groundwater well logs following sampling on Strata Explorer Software.
- Tabulating laboratory results and comparison of results to relevant guidelines.
- Writing of reports such as environmental site assessments and waste categorisation including site history and background reviews.
- Issuing of reports to requesting clients.
- Liaising with laboratories and equipment suppliers to ensure sufficient sampling equipment is available.
- Completion of chain of custody and safety forms.
- Project management, compilation of reports and general office administration works including preparation of quotes and invoices and, internal computer office support.

- Sound business acumen including preparation of tenders and proposals.
- **Salary - **_Approximately between 65,000 - 80,000 plus superannuation. ESP offers attractive remuneration and professional development choices based on experience.
