Chelgrave Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Tender Coordinator to assist our team based on site as BlueScope Steel in Hastings

You will work closely and become an integral part of our team at BlueScope Hastings. You will be required to develop comprehensive and competitive tender proposals. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret technical specifications will be vital in this role.

Along with this role there will be a requirement to assist our on-site operations team with sourcing and placing labour to meet the needs of BlueScope for their ongoing maintenance projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyse tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to assess project requirements and feasibility.
- Conduct detailed cost estimations for materials, equipment, and labour requirements.
- Prepare and submit tender proposals within specified timelines, adhering to internal procedures and standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of tender documents.
- Continuously monitor, identify, and action improvement opportunities where required.
- Develop Safe Work Method Statements & Job Procedures as requested in the Tender.
- Develop Project Schedules using M.S Project.
- Procure Spares and materials required.
- Perform Routine Safety Audits.
- To participate in pre and post client tender review meetings.
- The ability to create and lead safety toolbox meeting minutes.

About you:

- Preferably a trade qualification in a relevant field, such as mechanical (fitting/fabricating) or electrical (qualified ‘A’ Grade Electrician).
- Proven experience in tendering processes, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills to evaluate project requirements and estimate costs accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and tendering software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- The ability to be flexible within your work environment.
- A safety focused mindset and practice is paramount.
