**Metal fabricator at Iron Work**

**Your mission and tasks: Fabrication of metal products and installation on site **(handrails, balconies, windows/doors framing, displays for retail, stairs, furniture, etc)

**1. Fabrication: Transform materials into finished metal products according to specifications.**
- Review Drawings: Ensure that the production team clearly understands the technical drawings and specifications.
- Welding, Assembly and Finishing: Execute the welding (all sorts of materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, etc. cutting metal, shaping and bending metal) and assembly of parts (joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting) before finishing products (cleaning, polishing, filing) as per the designs, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control checks at various stages to ensure the product meets the required standards.
- Ordering Consumables: Manage inventory of consumables (welding gases, rods, safety equipment) to avoid any production delays.

**2. Installation: Deliver and install the finished product at the client’s site, ensuring it meets all specifications and quality standards.**
- Pre-Installation Planning: Conduct site visits if necessary to take precise measurements and prepare for installation.
- Tools and Materials for Installation: Prepare a checklist of all tools and installation materials (screws, fixings, chemsets, silicones) required and ensure they are ready for use.
- Transport and Installation: Arrange for safe transport of the finished product to the site and carry out the installation, ensuring it fits perfectly and securely.
- Final Inspection: Perform a final inspection post-installation to ensure the product is installed correctly and meets all safety and quality standards.

**Your qualification & experience**
- Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or equivalent experience
- at least 3 years’ experience as metal fabricator including a very strong experience in artistic/architectural metalwork fabrication and in the development/fabrication of custom-made solutions
- knowledge of different types of welding techniques (including TIG and MIG technics)
- Good communication and collaborative skills to communicate/collabore efficiently with clients and team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
