Maintenance Fitter

We are looking for a passionate Maintenance Fitter to join our Monbeef 'Mountain Fresh' team in Cooma NSW in the Snowy Mountains.

**The role**:You will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and be a part of an experienced team. Your primary role will be as the site Fitter who is proficient in working with Stainless Steel. In addition to that you will be, as part of the maintenance team, performing a wide range of preventative maintenance and breakdown tasks associated with the provision of a strong fitting and maintenance program. The focus of this role and our Maintenance team is to ensure the ongoing availability, reliability and capability of the plants process, systems, and equipment.Hours: Majority of your hours will be Monday to Friday day work with occasional overtime as required. Some flexibility will be required to work the occasional weekend.

**Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:
Stainless steel fabrication or repairs
Project work, utilising either your fitting or welding skills
Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively.
Demonstrating strong fault finding and problem resolution capabilities to ensure minimum downtime of all plant systems.
Working with our production team to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are identified and introduced wherever practicable.
Completion of all documentation and record keeping requirements in a timely manner.
Working constructively within a team environment.
Always ensuring a key focus on safety.

**Required skills & experience**:
Current mechanical / trade certificate
Good welding and fabrication skills
You have a commercial or industrial background - Meat industry is highly desirable.
Experience within a food processing environment will be highly regarded
Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and work constructively as part of a team.
Strong understanding of GMP & HACCP requirements.

**Salary**: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

- Fitter: 1 year (preferred)

- Order Picking Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
