About the Role
- Provision of specialist, Social Work child protection, consultation, and liaison with staff across the hospital, safety planning and ongoing management of patients whether there are child protection concerns or identified risks. Incorporating contemporary Social Work practice trauma principles, child aware and the convention the right to the child.
- Lead and provide specialised clinical advice in the development and review of facility and district-level policy procedures and standards related to child protection.
- Assist organisation to met National Principals for Child Safe Organisations by providing clinical expertise in relation to the intersection with Child Safe Organisation principals and Child Protection requirements.
- Responsibilities may include assessing family situations, developing intervention strategies, coordinating with external agencies, and advocating for the best interests of the children involved.
