About the job

We are seeking an experienced and driven HR Business Partner to join our Tassal team. Based at our Lidcombe facility. Not just a standard People and Culture role, this full-time, hands-on role reports to the Senior Manager - People and Culture, in Tasmania and will work closely with the site leadership team to drive its success by supporting the growth and development of our people.

Key responsibilities include;
- Deliver and support people focused initiatives and strategy at the Lidcombe and Kew sites
- Collaborate with specialists in the P&C team to facilitate and oversee processes including ER, IR, performance management, D&I, EA negotiation, leadership development and coaching, annual engagement survey, talent management, recruitment, selection, remuneration reviews and 5 FOCUSsed conversations
- Lead and develop key people projects that foster continuous improvement and drive cost optimisation.
- Partner with stakeholders to build positive working relationships, provide advice in relation to the P&C outcomes and have a deep understanding of the operations that are supporting.
- Collaborate with the broader P&C team, a team of 20 across Tas and Qld, to ensure consistency across all P&C practices.
- Develop and execute on employee engagement strategies that promote a positive workplace culture and enhance employee retention.
- Contribute to workforce planning to ensure the provision of a suitably skilled workforce for current and future workforce needs.

About you

We are after a dynamic and experienced team player who loves what they do and will embrace the opportunities this position can bring.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ideally 5 years’ experience in a HR role, preferably with experience in leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Good understanding of local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor managers and employees.
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously while connecting in with a wider team based remotely.
