**Alzheimer’s Ecosystem Manager (AEM)**

**Role Purpose**

Lilly is proud to have invested 35 years+ of scientific innovation and clinical research into finding solutions for Alzheimer’s disease, an area of devastating impact on people and their families, as well as our healthcare system. However, our healthcare ecosystem is not yet ready to deliver innovative medical solutions to patients, so if you are passionate about driving that readiness, this role may be for you

As Alzheimer's Disease Ecosystem Manager (AEM), you are the interface between our key customers in the Alzheimer's therapeutic area and all relevant functions and management at Lilly. Your primary purpose is to improve patient care, together with our customers, through innovative and creative approaches. You will work in a strong cross-functional team, initially with marketing, medical, diagnostics and external engagement, and manage the planning and execution of the activities in the account for the Alzheimer's area. The role demands strong understanding of the Australian public and private hospital system, encompassing diagnostic and treatment facilities, and key decision-making bodies.

**Specifically, the goals of the AEM are to**:

- ** CREATE URGENCY: Actively engage customers, understand barriers/ enablers to providing AD care, including identifying patients early in the disease cascade.**
- ** BUILD CONFIDENCE: Demonstrate an understanding of your customers’ goals and tensions to motivate them to build an infrastructure and pathway that supports patients with AD.**
- ** REDUCE COMPLEXITY: Deliver solutions that enable stakeholders to implement a clear plan that ensures every patient with early AD receives timely, coordinated care.**
- ** MAP AND SHAPE THE ECOSYSTEM: Map it and shape it by working with your customers to enable a clear, coordinated diagnostic and care pathway for early AD patients by**:

- Identifying healthcare professionals and decision makers involved in the patient pathway for early AD and mild cognitive impairment.
- Understanding service and system requirements in metropolitan and regional territories.
- Mapping and documenting the ecosystems (key accounts, their diagnostic environment and referral networks) for diagnosis, patient care and treatment in the field of Alzheimer's (from patient identification to therapy monitoring) (e.g. stakeholders in diagnosis & therapy, capabilities and capacity for CSF, PET imaging, clinical diagnostics, MRI and infusion delivery, referral networks between primary and secondary care, beliefs & behaviors).
- Design of diagnostic algorithms, therapy pathways and protocols for patient flow in key accounts.
- Connecting colleagues for shared learning and best practice implementation to speed Memory Clinic and optimal ecosystem builds.
- If there are shortages in key capacity (eg infusions), collaborating with stakeholders, potentially external providers, to develop local solutions and services.

**Partnership development and management**
- Responsible for local partnerships implementation (e.g. in diagnosis, with PET tracer, nuclear medicines department, blood diagnostics and CSF providers, pathology, laboratories)

**Customers**
- Establish and grow sustainable and resilient relationships with key customers in Alzheimer’s disease, and the ecosystem in which they operate.
- Where/when appropriate, ensure optimal use of Lilly products in the Alzheimer's therapy area and proactively identify and implement opportunities to increase usage.
- Structured identification of customer needs; bring customer insights and corresponding value solutions into customer planning and strategy development.
- Work closely with customers individually to develop innovative projects and value-added programs that combine customer needs, patient care improvement and Lilly's strategic interests in this area.
- Design value-added programs in a scalable way and execute into the Key Account Management organization.

**Account Management**
- Establish and exemplify a cross-functional mindset in the account team.
- Lead, coordinate and execute the account planning process with the cross-functional account team for the Alzheimer's portfolio, consisting of colleagues with direct customer contact in Sales (later) and Medical (immediately) and all relevant internal functions, including senior management.
