- Provide advice on migration policy and matters to TIQ, other government agencies and key stakeholders and promote Queensland as a destination for business and skilled migrants
- Assist the Manager of MQ in approving and nominating business and skilled migrants to the Commonwealth
- Lead and manage business migration projects and initiatives with overseas posts, local stakeholders and the MQ team (including planning, developing, implementing and reporting on those projects)
- Contribute to competitor analysis of MQ relative to other states and territories, including providing recommendations for forward planning promotional and marketing activities in Brisbane and internationally
- Support the manager of MQ through contributing to MQ's strategic documents, plans, budgets, reports and meetings
- Supervise and support the team to deliver outcomes, encouraging continuous learning and improvement
- Provide input into the MQ website and social media sites, including developing promotional material in conjunction with the Marketing and event team.
- Establish and maintain effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across cultures and other private and public sector organisations
- Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across international, local, state and federal agencies, and industry to continue to build commitment to long term growth
- Provide written and verbal advice and communications to high-level stakeholders including clients and client representative groups and TIQ senior management
- Represent TIQ on inter-departmental, international, national and industry committees and present / participate in key government and business forums.
