**About the role**

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Equine, Agriculture and Animal Care students TAFE NSW are seeking individuals to work as a Head Teacher of Animal Care and Equine located at the Goulburn Campus.

**About You**

You are an experienced leader and enjoy working in a collaborative and innovative way to lead and develop a team. You will be required to use your strong interpersonal skills when liaising with industry and community and will utilise your sound negotiation skills when problem solving and meeting deadlines.

To be successful in this role you must:

- Certificate III in Horse Care/Equine Studies, higher or equivalent and/or
- Certificate III in Animal Care Services, higher or equivalent and/or
- Certificate III in Agriculture, higher or equivalent.
- Have evidence of successful completion of an approved program of teacher education, or evidence of successful completion of an acceptable teaching qualification such as the current (AQF) Level 5 or higher qualification in Vocational Education and Training (VET) OR hold a TAE40116 or equivalent and commit to obtaining the AQF Level 5 or Higher qualification within 18 months of employment.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications.
- Thorough knowledge and technical expertise relevant to current teaching methods.
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills across a range of customer groups with diverse requirements.
- Demonstrated educational leadership to lead and develop a team of professional staff members.
- Demonstrated sound administrative skills, and ability to plan, manage and monitor financial, human, and physical resources.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with industry and community to identify, plan and implement relevant courses and service
