**The opportunity**

We are looking for a Workplace Relations Leader to join our high-profile, collaborative team on a 12-month parental leave cover contract. You will be a strategic leader, providing technical industrial relations advice and driving operational excellence.

The role will involve providing timely, pragmatic and technically accurate workplace relations and compliance advice across the business and deliver on workplace relations programs of work.

You’ll have extensive experience in leading bargaining negotiations and managing disputes and be comfortable to manage complex relationships with stakeholders internal and external to Bupa.

This is a hybrid, flexible role which can be based in any major Australian city.

**How will I help?**

Key accountabilities include:

- Collaborate with senior leaders in implementing a strategic and consistent Workplace Relations approach across Bupa Australia & New Zealand
- Identify and focus on key priority aspects of issues involving workplace relations and drive such matters to their completion, such as enterprise bargaining
- Project management and leadership of enterprise projects, such as enterprise bargaining and policy renewal
- Anticipate areas of high industrial risk and take steps to proactively mitigate these, by working in close partnership with senior stakeholders
- Analyse and interpret detailed information, such as regulations, legislation, awards and enterprise agreements, and provide clear and concise advice on workplace relations and compliance issues
- Involvement in Bupa’s compliance initiatives, leading aspects directly related to Workplace Relations and engaging with employee and unions where appropriate
- Provide leadership and advice to the Bupa leadership team on workplace relations issues
- Participate in oversight of industrial case management systems and analytics as relevant to workplace relations.

**What do I need?**
- Senior level consultancy, advisory and/or management experience, inclusive of a demonstrable set of achievements in workplace relations in a large and complex organisation
- Proven track record in workplace dispute prevention and settlement
- Demonstrable and significant experience in negotiation and end-to-end enterprise bargaining
- Strong stakeholder management skills (including Exec members), emotional intelligence and resilience
- Deep knowledge and understanding of management policies and procedures and experience in delivering practical commercial HR/WR solutions
- Demonstrable experience in the successful coaching of workplace relations specialists with a focus on collective agreement and Award management
- Proven ability to convert information and data into knowledge, and to communicate that knowledge in a meaningful and useful way
