The purpose of a Disability Support Worker is multifaceted, centred around providing essential assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. Here are some key purposes of this role:

- **Enhancing Quality of Life**: The primary purpose is to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence and dignity.
- **Personalized Care**: Disability Support Workers provide personalized care tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual client. This includes assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
- **Promoting Independence**: Support workers empower individuals with disabilities to be as independent as possible by providing assistance and encouragement while respecting their autonomy and choices.
