Our Homemakers play a crucial role in empowering residents to live fully, offering personalized support from morning until night. Residents are invited to take part in cooking, gardening, shopping, exercising, and recreational activities, allowing those living with dementia or frailty to focus on their abilities rather than limitations. **Role Overview**:

- Engage with residents in a gentle, warm, and authentic manner.
- Support personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Assist with general household chores, including cleaning and laundry.
- Use creative approaches to deliver personalized care, especially for those with dementia.
- Staff are to be resident focussed and not task focussed, people will come first.
- Work consistently with the same residents and team members to build strong, individualised care relationships that meet emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.
- Accompany and support residents during community outings and recreational activities.

**Environment**:

- McNally House is a premium aged care facility located in Upper Mt Gravatt, offering a small house environment with only 9 residents per house.
- Each level features unique layouts and designs, providing spacious bedrooms and living areas tailored to individual care needs.
- A state-of-the-art gym is located on the third level, enhancing the well-being of residents.

**About You**:

- You bring a deep understanding of aged care, particularly dementia care, and are enthusiastic about delivering high-quality, resident-focused service.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- A National Police Check is required; having a Driver's License is a must
- Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar) with two years of relevant experience
