**About this role**

As Operations Officer you will be responsible for leading the venue operations of Latrobe City Councils Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC). Whilst ensuring efficient operations of the GPAC precinct you will lead our Front of House and Customer Service Officers to deliver excellent services that will exceed our community’s expectations. You will form part of our Creative Venues leadership team and contribute to the operations and strategic direction of our creative venues services and programs.

**About you**

For this position we are seeking a passionate individual with an excellent knowledge of the performing arts industry, combined with a strong understanding of the operational aspects of a large venue. You will have strong leadership capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills with customer service always front of mind.

You will also need
- A relevant qualification in event management, business, hospitality, or a related field with recent experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills which use creative and imaginative approaches to find innovative solutions to issues.
- Proven contract management experience.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or significant knowledge in the maintenance of a safe environment within a creative venue setting
