TotalFusion Platinum (TFP) have an exciting opportunity to join the Newstead practice as a Medical Receptionist

Our practice is fully private, allowing us to take only our patients best interest into account with every available resource. We implement the latest in evidence-based precision medicine, advanced screening, and a very forward-looking preventative ethos.

**What might my day look like?**
- _Keep the doctor and team advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up including coordination, monitoring, and communication of projects and programs._
- _Coordinate with outside labs and imaging facilities to ensure patient records are kept up to date in a timely manner. _
- _Request medical records for GPs and specialists nationally and internationally, and organise these within our records. _
- _Become proficient with all avenues of billing (Private health, DVA, Medicare, Insurance, NDIS, etc.)_
- _Collate referrals that come in, action referrals, send letters to clients medical practitioners, make sure correspondence is documented, and follow up as required._
- _Make sure all relevant information (labs, scans, reports, etc) are present and accessible for doctor and allied health in advance of each appointment._

**Nitty gritty role requirements**:

- _Cert III Business Admin or Cert III Medical Admin desirable_
- _Previous experience working in a medical / allied health setting_
- _Availability for full time employment_

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Medical receptionist: 1 year (required)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- Nookal: 1 year (preferred)
- working in a medical / allied health setting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Cert III Business Admin or Cert III Medical Admin desirable (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Newstead, QLD 4006 (required)
