Support Worker with Supervisor Duties

**Wekare Disability Services** is seeking to employ a support worker with supervising experience. The role will expand in responsibility and hours required, as procedures are rolled out and new facilities are opened. There will be a requirement of on-site hours with the balance being flexible.

The position will focus primarily on enforcing NDIS Quality Indicators and requirements with a view to constant improvement in the delivery of services throughout our facilities.

Key responsibilities will include.
- Lead a team of house supervisors & provide advice & supervision to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure staff are skilled & knowledgeable in the delivery of services guided by the participants we support.
- Manage services across all accommodation facilities inclusive of budgeting, compliance, reporting and rostering
- Manage monitor record and report on incidents and complaints across all accommodation facilities.
- Ensure compliance standards are adhered to consistently and with continuity in accordance with quality guidelines.
- Be familiar with OHS requirements appropriate to differing levels of supported accommodation.
- Conduct regular reviews of workplace practices to identify areas of risk or areas for improvement.
- Uphold high standards of care for participants and clear accountability for workers.
- Maintain clear and transparent communication with participant tenants.
- Develop procedures, protocols and strategies as needed to implement requirements for high quality care across all accommodation facilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external health providers and assessors as required by participant tenants.
- Train and appraise house supervisors in the implementation of procedures and ongoing maintenance and quality assurances of facilities.

The position is casual and ongoing with some flexibility in hours.

Mandatory Qualifications are required for this role

1. Cert III, IV in Disability or Aged Care Services or equivalent relevant qualification.

2. National/International Police Check

3. Working With Children Check

4. NDIS Screening Check

5. First Aid Certificate (incl. resuscitation)

6. Valid Driver's License and Access to an insured vehicle.

7. Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination status.

8. Introduction to the NDIS training module certificate.

The position requires the responsible delivery of a variety of support services such as; community participation and access, monitoring behaviour and the administration of medication.

WeKare may provide additional training where required, to meet specific participant requirements.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $32.73 - $40.26 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
